Celebrating Dydd Santes Dwynwen in Bodawen

Celebrating love! Here at Bodawen, we made the most out of the Welsh holiday celebrating love! The home was decorated with pink and red hearts, and with some hears that were made by the residents and coloured in in their favourite colours. In these hearts, the residents were helped with writing their names inside and then they were put up in display in the lounge so they can be admired by all!

Some of the love was taken to those who could not attend the craft session in the lounge, and those residents took some time to think about those that they loved. Then, the residents said the names of their loved ones that they would like to be written in the heart and discussed who they were. The colourful hearts with their loved ones’ names written down in them were put up in their rooms so that they can be reminded of those that they love everyday.

This was a very heart-warming and rewarding activity for the residents as it filled them with love and appreciation of the people they’ve known throughout their lives and what they mean to them.
