Christmas Performance by Ysgol y Garreg in Bodawen
With just less than a week to go before Christmas, the residents of Bodawen Nursing Home were treated to a festive visit as a group of school children arrived to spread holiday cheer. The young students from Ysgol y Garreg, Llanfrothen, took a break from their holiday preparations to visit the nursing home, bringing with them the joyous sounds of Christmas carols and the excitement of a special dance performance.
As the children sang classic carols like We Wish You A Very Christmas and songs from their Christmas show, the atmosphere filled with warmth and nostalgia. Many of the elderly residents were visibly moved, clapping and singing along to the familiar tunes and reminiscing about their own holiday traditions. The carollers’ bright voices filled the room, lifting spirits and fostering a deep sense of community.
The children, dressed in colourful Christmas attire, performed lively routines to popular festive songs. The residents couldn’t help but smile and cheer, tapping their feet to the rhythm.
The event was more than just a celebration; it was a reminder of the power of music, dance, and connection to bridge generations. The joy was contagious, leaving everyone with a sense of warmth and goodwill that will last throughout the holiday season. Thank you very much Ysgol y Garreg, and Merry Christmas!
