Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea in Bodawen
Bodawen Nursing Home was filled with love, laughter, and celebration this past weekend as residents, their families, and staff came together for a special Mother’s Day Afternoon Tea, honouring the incredible women in their lives.
The home was beautifully decorated with handmade touches lovingly created by residents in the lead-up to the event. One of the highlights was the vibrant display of Mother’s Day crowns, crafted and proudly worn by residents, bringing smiles to everyone in attendance.
Guests enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea complete with freshly made sandwiches, homemade bara brith, cakes, and warm scones with jam and cream — a delightful spread that had everyone going back for seconds. The gentle hum of music filled the air, adding to the warm and joyful atmosphere.
A creative craft session invited families to sit alongside their mothers and make personalised Mother’s Day cards, using a variety of art supplies provided by the home. It was a touching opportunity for shared creativity and memory-making across generations.
Bodawen Nursing Home continues to provide enriching experiences and meaningful activities for residents, ensuring they feel valued, celebrated, and connected to their families and community.
