Celebrating Mary’s 80th Birthday

Residents and staff at Bodawen Nursing Home came together this week to celebrate a remarkable milestone: the 80th birthday of resident Mary. The home was transformed into a colourful party space, complete with bright banners, cheerful balloons and festive decorations that set the tone for a truly memorable afternoon.

The celebration featured a delicious birthday cake prepared by the home’s kitchen team, who ensured the sweet centrepiece reflected Mary’s favourite flavours. The real highlight of the event, however, was the live music. A lively trio of piano, drums, and vocals performed a playlist of Mary’s favourite songs, inviting residents and staff to sing along. Laughter and music filled the room as many guests joined in with dancing, clapping, and joyful celebration.

The event not only honoured Mary’s big day but also brought the community together, reminding everyone of the joy that shared moments can bring.
