VE Day Celebration

VE Day Celebration at Plas Gwyn

Today, we commemorated VE Day with a day filled with remembrance, pride, and celebration. Our day began with residents colouring drawing themed around VE Day, setting a reflective and creative tone. At 12 pm, we observed a two -minute silence to honour the brave men and women who sacrificed their lives for our freedom.

A special lunch was served, followed by an afternoon tea featuring a beautifully decorated VE DAY - themed cake. Residents also enjoyed watching a live BBC programme and listened to uplifting 1940s music, which brought back memories and added to the lovely atmosphere.

The day was filled with fun, laughter and heartfelt pride, as our residents came together to pay tribute and celebrated this importance historical event.
